Every bed shaker alarm compared
Short answer: the US bed-shaker field is smaller than it looks — a handful of real brands plus rotating Amazon SKU families. The category benchmark is the Sonic Bomb SBB500SS ($44.99 direct, 113 dB, wired 12V shaker, 1-year warranty). Our own EIVOI bed shaker clock ($44.00, 7.5-inch display, wired under-pillow pad) sits at the same price with a bigger display and no siren-first design — and since we sell it, weigh that sentence accordingly. Around them: the app-based iLuv SmartShaker 3 ($59.99, availability now uncertain — one retailer marks it discontinued), the UK's Geemarc and Bellman (import questions for US buyers), and the ANJANK/REACHER Amazon families (real products, but their prices and specs rotate too fast to print).

One product often mentioned alongside these doesn't belong in the table: the Screaming Meanie (from $37.99 at screamingmeanie.com) is a beloved, nearly indestructible sound-only trucker alarm — 70/120 dB, 9V battery, no vibration function at all. If you've seen it recommended as a bed shaker, that's roundup drift, not the product. Note also its naming confusion: the brand's current models are the Meanie 120/220, while resellers still sell legacy "TZ-120" stock at prices from ~$52 to a startling $99.95 for functionally the same device.
How to actually choose
If you can't hear alarms at all, prioritize shaker force and redundancy: the Sonic Bomb's siren+shaker+lights triple channel is the safe default, the Bellman ecosystem adds doorbell/smoke integration, and the full deaf and hard-of-hearing guide covers funding routes like UK VAT relief. If you hear fine but sleep through everything, the siren is for your household, not you — a vibration-first clock (ours, or a Sonic Bomb with the volume at minimum) does the job without 113 dB of collateral damage; that's the honest niche our $44 clock aims at, alongside wrist-band pairing for travel. If you want app control, the SmartShaker is the only purpose-built option — confirm it's actually in stock before planning around it, given the discontinuation flag.
On the Amazon families (ANJANK, REACHER): they're legitimate, popular, and frequently refreshed — which is exactly why we won't print their prices or specs: the listing you open may not be the SKU we checked.
